TERMS & CONDITIONS

TerrainHopper Ltd manufacture bespoke products and therefore items such as colours, wheels, lights, and mirrors may vary from those shown on our website but will be agreed in a contract between the customer and TerrainHopper Ltd. The sale of our products will only exist once an order has been accepted and payment has been confirmed. We will agree in our purchase contract the expected delivery date for the products ordered.

PRICING, SERVICING, PAYMENTS & REFUNDS

Pricing and Product Servicing

We reserve the right to change any services, product prices, product specifications and availability at any time. All prices and descriptions supersede all previous publications. All sizes are approximate. We cannot guarantee that colours and details in images are accurate representations of the product. Our bespoke products are agreed and set out in our contract between us and the customer. Delivery dates and stock due in dates do not form part of any contract with us and we cannot be held liable for any losses whether direct or indirect if your order is delayed or not delivered by any dates that may have been given by us.

EU Orders: Our prices are quoted excluding VAT which will not be charged if a valid Disability Exemption Form is completed and sent to us. We can provide a copy of this form. If the exemption doesn’t apply, VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the total order.

Orders outside of the EU: Orders outside of the EU do not attract UK VAT. Check if there will be any import duty in your country.

Methods of Payment

All transactions are in Pounds Sterling (£). We accept the following methods of payment:

  • Credit card payment through PayPal.

  • Credit card payment over the phone.

  • BAC’s transfer.

A 50% deposit is required with the order. The balance of the order is payable within 7 days of the delivery date.

Your Cancellation Rights

You have a right to cancel an order within 7 working days from the date the order is placed, however any cancellation must be made by e-mail to the General Manager at sales@terrainhopper.com or in writing to:

Our Refund Policy

The following sliding scale applies in respect of deposits only:

  • Cancel within 7 days of order, full refund will be given.

  • Cancel within 14 days of order, 50% of deposit will be refunded.

  • Cancel within 21 days of order, 25% of deposit will be refunded. 

All our items are bespoke and built to order and will be delivered within 12 weeks from date of order. Due to the nature of the product we cannot make a refund after the final payment has been made. We will however put right any manufacturing defects (your product will be thoroughly tested before delivery). TerrainHopper Ltd will always confirm your choices and specifications before we submit the order giving you an opportunity to amend.

We will confirm your order and specifications in our sales contract which you should carefully check before signing to ensure you are happy to proceed before the product is manufactured.

After Sales Service

Our products should be serviced annually. Additionally, insurers of these products often insist that regular servicing should be undertaken as a condition of the policy. We are happy to undertake servicing if your product is returned to TerrainHopper Ltd or we can undertake home visits within a 35 mile radius of Louth, Lincolnshire. We can arrange a service engineer to visit and a mileage charge can be agreed in advance. Alternatively, you can take your TerrainHopper product to be serviced at one of our approved agents. Please call us for their details.

Faulty Products Returns in Warranty

Our products have the following warranties to cover manufacturing defects:

  • 5 years on the chassis.

  • 1 year on the throttle or joystick control and power module controller.

  • 2 years on the suspension system.

  • 1 year on the motors.

  • 1 year on all other electronics.

Warranty periods start from the delivery date. The warranty does not cover wear and tear or user damage. In the first instance, any faults should be notified to TerrainHopper Ltd before the product is returned. Once agreed with TerrainHopper Ltd, they should be returned in original packaging (where appropriate), complete with all accessories, instructions & leads etc.  A full fault description must accompany the returned item and a returns number is required from our technical department and must accompany the returned item.

A warranty covers parts and labour ONLY. Returns to and collection from TerrainHopper Ltd are at the customer’s own cost. Any product being returned to us for in- house work must be returned in a clean condition. We reserve the right to refuse to accept any item which we deem to be in a poor state of cleanliness. Please refer to our user manual for cleaning instructions.

Faulty Products out of Warranty Returns

Any faults should be notified to TerrainHopper Ltd before item is returned. Once agreed with TerrainHopper Ltd, they should be returned in the format agreed with TerrainHopper Ltd beforehand. All charges will be borne by the customer including cost of repair, delivery & handling charge. This may include an inspection charge. Prior to any repairs, customers will be informed of any charges. If after a 5 day period there is no response to proceed, goods will be returned to the customer and a return charge will be issued.

An order number is required to commit to any repairs and their charges TerrainHopper will always endeavour to ensure any item is processed and resolved within 21 days of receipt of the goods.

Delivery Policy

Delivery of the Goods shall take place to the location specified by the Buyer and costs for delivery will be paid by the Buyer. Alternatively, the Buyer can collect the Goods at the Seller’s premises at any time after the Seller has notified the Buyer that the Goods are ready for collection.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Buyer and the seller shipment and insurance of all Goods ordered will be arranged by the Buyer and all charges shall be paid by the Buyer.

The Delivery Date is approximate only and time for delivery shall not be of the essence unless previously agreed by the Seller in writing. The Goods may be delivered by the Seller in advance of the Delivery Date upon giving reasonable notice to the Buyer. If the Seller delivers the Goods at any time after the Delivery Date the Seller shall have no liability in respect of such late delivery.

The Seller shall not be liable to the Buyer or be deemed to be in breach of the Contract by reason of any delay in delivery or in performing, or any failure to perform, any of the Seller’s obligations in relation to the Goods, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond the Seller’s reasonable control. Without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the following shall be regarded as causes beyond the Seller’s reasonable control:-

  • act of God, explosion, flood, tempest, fire or accident;
  • war or threat of war, sabotage, insurrection, civil disturbance or requisition;

  • acts, restrictions, regulations, bye-laws, prohibitions or measures of any kind on the part of any governmental, parliamentary or local authority;

  • import or export regulations or embargoes;

  • strikes, lock-outs or other industrial actions or trade disputes (whether involving employees of the Seller or of a third party).
